[edit] Usage Notes
- "name" should be the native name of the martial art; if the field is left empty, pagename will be displayed instead.
- The "name", "transliteration" and "translation" fields do not need to be filled in if the martial art's native name is in English.
- Please avoid cluttering up the "aka" field with various transcriptions of the same name, e.g. "Tae Kwon Do; Tae-kwon-do; Tae Kwon-do".
- The "video" field uses the code (last digits of URL) for YouTube videos
- Where possible, "origin" should state both where and when the martial art first came to be.
- Not all martial arts will have a founder.
- "focus" implies the primary focus(es) of the martial art. Obviouly, all martial arts are to some degree mixed, but all will have primary focuses, e.g. Taekwondo is not solely kicks, but its primary focus would be said to be kicking.
